Celebrate the Birds of TTDI – A TTDI50 Jubilee Special

The MNS Selangor Branch is pleased to collaborate with Majlis Perwakilan Penduduk (MPP) Segambut Subzone 2 and the TTDI Edible Community Garden (TTDI ECG) on our "Climate Action Kids Engagement" (CAKE) field trip. Known for its lush parks and vibrant birdlife, TTDI provides an ideal setting to inspire children to appreciate the natural world while fostering environmental awareness.

To mark TTDI’s 50th Jubilee Celebration on December 29, 2024, the MNS Selangor Branch, together with its Selangor Branch Bird Group, Arts & Crafts team, and the MNS Secretariat's Merchandise & Membership team, will run a series of family-friendly activities celebrating TTDI’s birdlife. For one day only, families with children aged 4–12 are invited to immerse themselves in the beauty and diversity of local birds through fun and engaging programmes. This event is open to everyone, both residents and visitors.

The celebration features three key activities:

Morning Workshops for Kids (Ages 4–6 and 7–12): These hands-on, educational workshops introduce children to the wonders of birds in a fun, interactive way. Spaces are limited, and non-refundable payment is required, so secure your spot early!

Bird Talk by Mark Ng: This open session offers an introduction to bird identification basics. Seats are limited to the first 20 walk-ins, and no prior registration is needed.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore the birdlife of TTDI while celebrating the township’s rich natural heritage. Join us on December 29, 2024 and create unforgettable memories with your family!

Mark Ng has been birdwatching since 2005. During this time, he has served as the coordinator of the MNS Selangor Branch Bird Group and has participated in the Tanjung Tuan Raptor Watch for over 10 years. Additionally, he has acted as an arbitrator and marshal in various bird races. Mark has also coordinated both introductory and advanced bird identification courses and has participated in numerous bird surveys across the country.

Join us in celebrating 50 years of TTDI on this unique opportunity to connect with nature and discover the birds of TTDI.
