After two years of Climate Action Kids Engagement (CAKE) field trips with the MNS Selangor Branch, and recently with the Friends of Bukit Kiara, we're excited to open it up to underprivileged students!
A huge thank you to the Lions Club of Subang Jaya (LCSJ) for providing a small environmental grant to make this happen. LCSJ is a fantastic community service organisation dedicated to improving health and well-being, strengthening communities, and supporting those in need through their impactful humanitarian efforts.
We also want to give special thanks to the Free Tree Society of Kuala Lumpur (FTS) for their incredible support in our 2024 climate action activities. They’re providing free plants for the kids to nurture, helping to reduce carbon emissions at home. FTS is committed to fostering environmental stewardship by giving away trees and organising nature-based activities.
In response to a request from Sekolah Buku Jalanan Chow Kit (BJCK), FTS will sponsor an edible plant for each student. BJCK is all about giving underprivileged kids equal access to education and a healthy environment, helping them break free from the cycle of poverty in the Chow Kit area.
If you know any children attending or planning to attend BJCK, please let their parents know to contact the school for more information and to register by the deadline.
